Silly Little Kiwi is a personal travel website written and created by Tara Tadlock, a woman writing about her moves online since 2011. Silly Little Kiwi combines personal narrative with informative travel tips, destination guides, and stories from my suitcase.
Silly Little Kiwi’s main mission is to inspire travelers to get out and see the beauty of this world with their own eyes in the most responsible way possible. Tara hopes that Silly Little Kiwi will encourage travelers to dive deeper wherever they go— wandering off the beaten path, having more local experiences, and choosing more ethical and environmentally-conscious tour operators, accommodation options, and travel excursions. Silly Little Kiwi is a space created with the hopes of showing you all the best places for brunch and where to get the best photos...then challenging you to reach further.
Since starting this blog eight years ago, Tara has integrated her background in international development and interest in responsible travel on this page, and remains focused on facilitating important discussions around responsible travel, ethical tourism, and the environmental impact of the travel industry as a whole.
Nearly a decade after its conception, Tara continues to compile her love of writing, photography, and traveling on this silly little space on the internet, working with brands and companies to produce high-quality content in the form of photos and written copy {with the odd video thrown in here or there}.
